Spring 2013...it seems like forever from now but Pantone's color predictions have a huge impact on fashion and home decor. The bright and shocking colors of 2012 have been replaced by these more subdued hues. Neutrals don't need to be boring though! These colors are soft with just enough vibrancy.
How do these colors impact interior design?
Interior decorating trends are shifting from bright feel-good punch of color tones to hues that offer a greater long term value. Perhaps the sad economy made people want a punch of color to lift their spirits in 2011 and 2012 but now people are opting for practicality and long-term design choices. Neutrals are ideal for longevity in decor.
